Zounds, I’m sitting here listening to ABBA (okay I’m a little retro, but the music still works) on my new Sansa slotMusic playerand lovin it. What a nifty gift for someone on your list. (That’s me below last Christmas), but below it is more copy about SanDisk’s slotMusic machine.
So as any of my readers know I sample EVERYTHING on all my blogs before I recommend ANYTHING. And I’m really behind this little number. My ABBA Gold is one of the company’s branded slotMusicplayers which is so cool to give fans of certain artists or groups. It’s portable, plug & play, tiny and great sound, really great sound. And the best thing it’s only about $35, so you can buy bunches of them (the non name players are only $20). The hot, new slotMusic machine hit the shelves October 2008 and is destined to change the way we listen to music witha new format Hi Fi, DRM-free MP3 music on a microSD card that can be swapped to other players. Recording artists available from Sony BMG, EMI, Universal, Warner. I now own quite a selection of SanDisk/Sansa accessories and I love them all. Check out www.sansa.com. And speaking of my favorite tech company (SanDisk Corp.), which happens to be one of the fastest growing global inventors of the and supplier of flash sotrage cards, I just got their latest creation a 16GB Wakeupyourphone memory card for mobile phones. This gismo rules. The hi-storage microSDHC card works with video cameras, GPS receivers, MP3 players and SanDisk’s Sansa. Get one for yourself and a few of your closest friends. Makes great stocking stuffers. Available at Best Buy or Verizon Wireless or at www.wakeupyourphone.com. Costs $99 to $129.99.

Fit for the New Year…now here’s a novel idea that you can give nearly everyone on your gift list. *May not be appropriate for some people. It’s Olympic Gold Medalist Mitch Gaylorfd’s “Melt it Off program.” I just played the video in my office and did a quick workout along with Mitch and his crew. As a fitness enthusiast and writer who specializes in the topic, I’ve tested many programs and videos and can unabashedly attest this one would motivate even the staunchest couch potato. He’s amiable, the exercises, while at times rigorous, can be adapted for most levels and it’s pure fun. Well for me anyway it was enjoyable. Mitch employs a “G-Ball” (he sent me a 2 pounder but I used my 4 lber as I’m a bit advanced. His exercises, which really do work the entire body, are tagged: Cardio Burn & Sculpt; Sizzlin Abs, High Calorie Melt and Melt in 10. Included in the regimen are a suggested Melt it Off nutritionally-balanced diet; tips like a shopping list, a diary for jotting down daily food intake and activity on which you also paste a “before” photo. The whole thing’s pretty cool.

Perfect for the the bath and home spa and a perfect holiday gift.
