Celebrity Hairstylist Natasha Sunshine of Byu-Ti Salon walks us down the Red Carpet with Meryl Streep and share some tips for how we can look like that…(Natasha is owner of BYU-TI SALON, 510 Wilshire Blvd.,Santa Monica, California, 310 587 2207. www.byu-tisalon.com, and will be opening a second star-studded salon in Brentwood in March).
This is one Meryl’s best looks ever on the Red Carpet. She looks elegant in white with a tightly pinned french twist with a loosely hanging front section. To get the look, set you hair with medium-sized hot rollers spraying each section before rolling with a workable hairspray like Pureology’s StrengtheningControl. Run your fingers through the set after taking the rollers down and pin the back into a clean french twist. Leave out the front section that best suits your face and give a final blast of hairspray toomplete the look.

2009 Oscars
Meryl looks age appropriate here in her mature upstyle here at the 2009 Oscars. To get the look, follow the same guidelines as the above set using medium-sized hot rollers. Leave the top section out and pin the back into a crisp french twist. Take a one inch barrel curling iron and roll each small section individually to get extra support. Spray with a stronger hold hairspray like Pureology’s InCharge Plus after setting curls into place and securing with a grip or bobby pin that matches your hair color.
Classic dress and loose hair seem to be the most flattering on Meryl as you can see here with her should length half up, blow-dry. To get the look, start by using a light hold styler like Pureology’s NourishingNectar then blow all the hair under using a medium sized round brush for a soft bend on the ends and a bit of volume on top. Keep hair side parted on your best side and pull both sections above the ear back. Pin on side with a seem of grips or bobby pins then use the other side to hide the pins. Secure the final section right into the seem using U-shaped hair pins that match your hair color. Give a final dose of a stronger hold hairspray like InCharge Plus to lock the look in.

This easy look suits Meryl’s gentle demeanor. To get the look, simply pull clean dry hair back into a classic knot or french twist in the back leaving a touch of volume at the top. Note that these natural looks tend fall out quickly so using a strong hold hairspray like InCharge Plus will keep the style throughout the evening.

Meryl seems best suited to styles with her her sides pulled back. It gives her classic beauty a timeless elegance that works well. To get this look, you’ll want to set the hair once again using the medium-sozed roller and spraying with a lighter holder hairspray like StrengtheningControl. Release the set after the roller cool. Part hair on the desired side or down the middle as shown here. Pull only the back into a french knot or twist. Then softly pull the sides back into your chignon and secure with two grips or bobby pins on each side. Give a final dose of a strong hold like InCharge hairspray.
